Congratulations to the competitors of the 2020 Fowler Business Concept Challenge! The competition received 88 submissions this year, which is the third highest across its 12-year history; making an always challenging process of selecting semifinalists extremely tough. Students submitting to the competition represent 29 majors and come from the graduate and undergraduate student bodies.
Thirty-two semifinalists presented to a panel of judges and the top four teams in each track moved on to the finals, held Friday, November 20. There they presented to a new set of judges. All semifinalist teams that did not move on were awarded $1,000 scholarships, with larger amounts awarded to the finalist teams. The winning teams in the social venture and business track took home the top prize of a $15,000 scholarship!
During the Fowler Business Concept Challenge Awards Ceremony on Friday, November 20, the audience voted for their choice during our Elevator Pitch Showcase where we showcased 60-second elevator pitches from each of our finalist teams. Teams winning the audience choice award in each track took home an additional $500 scholarship.
