Message from the Dean

Dear Opus Students,

Welcome back to campus and the beginning of the new academic year. My colleagues and I are delighted to have you back on campus and we are determined to do everything possible to ensure that we succeed in keeping the campus open for the remainder of the semester.

As the fall semester gets underway, we will keep our campus safe and put our mission of developing highly principled business leaders into action. We teach our students to put a high priority on integrity in all that they do and mitigate any harm to individuals and communities affected by the business decisions they make. In the Opus Community, principled leadership is what drives a “culture of care”.

We trust our students, faculty and staff will live up to our commitment to principled leadership  by adhering to the new health guidelines and mandates for face coverings, social distancing and other behaviors. With the start of this academic year, we can expect new challenges, but more than ever, our community needs principled leaders committed to doing everything possible to help keep your classmates, your faculty, and the staff who support all of us safe.

Whether you are learning on campus or remotely, please enjoy your time at St. Thomas and know that we care deeply about your safety. I welcome you all with renewed energy, optimism and a reminder of our shared commitment to principled leadership, which makes each of you an ambassador for our “culture of care.”
