Take classes on campus in the evening, or in a hybrid of in-person and online sessions. The certificate requires a 7- to 12-day study abroad trip, which will give you first-hand global business experience.

    The 12-credit Graduate Certificate in Global Business program has both required and elective courses:

    • 2 required courses, including 1 study-abroad course
    • 1 elective course
    • 1 professional effectiveness course
    Take all of your classes on campus in the evenings or in a hybrid of in-person and online sessions. Complete your degree in as few as 9 months (two semesters), or go at a slower pace.

    • 2 years’ work experience recommended; related professional experience is valuable, but not required

    If you are currently enrolled in a St. Thomas MBA program, you may take graduate certificate courses as program electives. By doing this, you will earn a certificate designation on your transcript.

    Global Experience/Study Abroad

    Fulfill your global study requirement with an approved St. Thomas MBA or graduate-level study abroad course. Offerings vary each academic year and are often offered as J-term courses. Recent courses have taken students to Scandinavia, China, Latin America and India.

    Negotiation Skills

    This professional effectiveness course will give you the skills to deal with many different negotiation situations found in the workplace. Use in-class negotiations and case studies to build your negotiation skills, beginning with one-on-one negotiations and concluding with large group negotiations.
