MS in Health Care Innovation Academic Experience
Identify and Solve Business Problems in Health Care
Help St. Thomas advance our vision to inform, shape and share best practices in business strategy that influence health care in our state and region, all for the common good.
Our MS in Health Care Innovation program was designed to give you flexibility in balancing your education with personal and professional demands. This rigorous-yet-supportive one-year program is delivered in a combination of on-campus, online and hybrid (in-person and online) courses. Expect to be on campus one Saturday every seven weeks for your seven-week long core courses.
You’ll move through the program with the same cohort of peers, whom you’ll meet in a three-day residency in the fall to kick off your studies.
Classes are taught by experienced St. Thomas full-time business faculty and outstanding practitioners in the Twin Cities health care and business communities. Gain valuable real-world insights from academically trained professors and practitioners in the field of high-performance healthcare. Learn from the diversity of disciplines, perspectives and experiences provided by your instructors and peers.

Gain Real-World Skills and Hands-On Experience
Our applied learning model uses group projects, case studies, simulations, guest speakers, and more. Practical exercises provide opportunities to bring real-world challenges from work into class. Address a current industry challenge with innovative solutions in an all-encompassing capstone project.
Your Personal Learning Community
Designed to maximize instructor attention and help you build peer relationships, our MS in Health Care Innovation program is built upon a cohort learning model. As part of a small student cohort, you’ll form strong personal and intellectual connections with the same group of professionals as you move together through the program.
Faculty members will offer their professional background, while fellow students contribute their own experiences to discussions, both online and in the classroom. Plus, your cohort will be a valuable network and resource long after graduation.
