Becoming a Project Management Professional

Being a Project Management Professional (PMP)® is a huge accomplishment, and Audrey Thayer was proud of herself for passing this challenging exam. Using project management methodologies in her job as a Marketing Manager at Persolvent, a software company, she knew that having a credential would enhance her career.

Thayer wasn’t having as much success as she’d have liked through online classes, so she decided to enroll in the Project Management Prep program at St. Thomas. She knew that learning in class from a real instructor alongside other peers would be beneficial to her learning style. Asking questions, learning from her peers and gaining perspective from Wayne Kaul, her instructor, was key in successfully passing the exam. Having a binder of slides and personal notes to study from was also a huge asset for her. Shortly after taking the Prep course, she took the PMP® exam and passed on her first try.

Thayer has already recommended this program, to her colleagues. She now has more credibility in her field and the confidence to back it up.
