Robert Gallagher, MBA, brings 35 years of industry experience to the classroom. At the beginning of his career, he spent 12 years in public accounting with KPMG. Subsequently, he was chief financial officer at four high-tech public companies, including such technologies as hearing aids, facial recognition and 3D printing.

As an instructor, Gallagher focuses on helping his students understand that accounting is the language of business and is used throughout the organization to communicate results, needs, priorities and many other business decisions. Throughout his industry career, Gallagher has worked closely with entrepreneurs on turning technical innovations into commercial success. His goal is to bring his practical experience into the classroom.

Equally important to Gallagher is instilling an ethical framework for his students to make decisions. He believes business is not just about achieving commercial success, but doing so in an ethical and forthright manner.
