Jeff Staggs

Assistant Director Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching

As the assistant director of the Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching, Jeff Staggs supervises the faculty who oversee student fieldwork. Staggs is involved with the development and delivery of the core coaching skills curriculum, rubric assessment and the supervision of mentor coaches. He is passionate about the coaching profession and the training of coaches.

Staggs has more than twenty years of experience in coaching of senior executives. He is credited with being one of the founders of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and its Minnesota chapter.

He has taught courses in the Coaches Training Institute and the University of Miami, and has been involved with the University of St. Thomas Executive Coaching program from its inception. Staggs has supervised and trained coaches around the world and was involved with developing the ICF competencies and Master Certified Coach competencies, considered the industry standard for quality coaching.

In addition to his work at St. Thomas, Staggs has his own executive coaching practice, specializing in coaching of senior leaders in Fortune 500 companies both in the U.S. and internationally.
