Our next workshop:

Creating Clarity with Visual Thinking

A picture is worth a thousand words, bringing focus and energy to discussions. Oftentimes, meetings are a sea of words and a waterfall of slides. Make your meetings more engaging, make concepts and ideas more memorable and lead teams or projects toward their goals.

With two interactive learning days, you will capture key ideas and organize them in a visual format —using text and drawings—to support building common meaning in meetings, training sessions or strategic off-sites.

Workshop Details
Tuesday, November 12 and Wednesday, November 13
8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
University of St. Thomas
Minneapolis Campus
Registration: $1,100

What is visual thinking?

Is visual thinking something you should master? Hear from program instructors Jill Greenbaum and Heather Martinez to understand how drawing and lettering can help to create alignment and common meaning.

A woman illustrates a project by drawing on large white pieces of paper.

What will you learn?

  • Discover the primary elements of the visual language
  • Learn to hold the pen, draw clean lines, and structure your space on the flip chart
  • Create graphics and text containers/geometric shapes, objects and symbols
  • Discover the easy ways the Bikablo® method provides to draw people, roles, groups, and situations
  • Use simple and fast options to color elements and spaces to support the graphic structure
  • Learn foundational and stylistic letterforms that are legible even when written quickly
  • Develop a formula for hierarchy to support information and ways to emphasize words to highlight ideas
In the end, you will learn the hand-drawn and hand-lettered techniques needed to make your next meeting visual!
