When family, business, and ownership are aligned, family businesses position themselves for the future they want. Generational Continuity & Family Alignment is a foundational, yet transformational three-session seminar designed for families who want to build a stronger future—together.

This program (formerly called Family Business Governance) equips your family business with the tools, insights and strategies to navigate complex challenges unique to family businesses. Through engaging exercises, guided discussions and practical takeaways, your family will learn how to:

  • Hold effective family meetings that foster transparency and trust
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities within the family, business and ownership
  • Make unified decisions that honor family values and business goals
  • Establish structures for long-term success
  • Create strategies for ownership oversight and decision-making

    This seminar brings up to 10 family businesses together, creating a unique environment where families learn not only from the curriculum but gain valuable insights from the shared journeys of other families in the course. You’ll spend time working closely as a family, charting your path forward. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a renewed sense of purpose, actionable strategies and a clear framework for sustaining your family business across generations. The course takes place over three full days across four months and is led by Executive Director Jon Keimig.

It’s designed for families preparing for leadership transitions or succession within the next 10 years, as well as those seeking to strengthen communication, clarify roles, and establish a shared vision for the future.
