    The Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management is a 12-credit program that can be completed in as little as 9 months. It provides a fast track to starting a career in supply chain management. You have the option to extend the program or progress at a slower pace, giving you the flexibility to manage your professional and personal commitments.

    • To earn the certificate, students must take four required courses.
    • Weeknight classes: typically, Monday-Thursday, 6 pm – 9 pm
    • Flexible learning format – take your classes on campus in the evenings, 100% online, or a mix of both formats.
    • Classes may be taken in any order, and participants have three years to complete the certificate.
    We welcome new students at the start of the fall, spring, and summer semesters, so you can begin at the time that best fits your schedule and complete your certificate quickly.

    The program consists of four 3-credit required courses that can be completed over two semesters:

    Designed to meet the needs of working professionals, our curriculum focuses on core areas of the supply chain including:

    • Negotiations
    • Inventory and distribution management
    • Purchasing, forecasting and demand management
    • Logistics (both domestic and international)
    • Utilization of technology for efficiency
    • Continuous improvement and lean operations

In our program, you'll develop a deep understanding of the supply chain industry and acquire the necessary skills to thrive in this dynamic field.

    • Application form and essays
    • At least one year of work experience recommended; related professional experience is valuable, but not required

    If you are currently enrolled in a St. Thomas graduate program (MBA or master’s program), you may take graduate certificate courses as program electives to earn a certificate designation on your transcript.
