Danielle Campeau is a Clinical Professor in the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship. With 15 years of experience in industry and academia, Campeau is a scholar-practitioner committed to bringing industry experience to the classroom and providing experiential learning opportunities that advance the entrepreneurial mindset. Campeau is passionate about mentoring student entrepreneurs and has advised teams who placed at state and national-level startup competitions.

As the former Director of the Center for Innovation and Business Development at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Campeau was the recipient of the Young Professional of the Year Award by Momentum West and received the Small Business Development Center Excellence and Innovation Award, both in 2019. In this role, Campeau also led the establishment of the St. Croix Valley Business Innovation Center, a business incubator, and served as the Director of the Small Business Development Center. She recently managed the commercialization of new innovative products in her role as Program Manager for Product Development at DiaSorin, a medical device company in Stillwater, MN.

Campeau’s research interests include application of the lean startup methodology, the firm creation process, entrepreneurship education and training, and rural entrepreneurship. She is particularly interested in research that results in practical recommendations for entrepreneurship practitioners and startup supporters.
