Her classes are infused with applied case studies and interactive class exercises that emphasize evidence-based management best practices and experience in engaging ways.

Diehn’s previous work in the United Kingdom and Denmark inspired her contribution to a large grant-funded expatriate adjustment research project that was published in one of the top academic journals in the field. Applied research projects such as the “Managing Your Boss” study benefit current employees, managers and students by identifying the process and tactics to proactively have upward influence at work.

Diehn finds meaning and purpose in educating and empowering students to advance the common good through principled leadership. She equips undergraduate students and mid-career professionals to reflectively and experientially develop their leadership skills to have valuable impact both now and as their careers continue to change and advance.
