Family businesses often talk about what one generation will pass to the next. But long before that transition happens, today's owners are making decisions that will shape what future generations inherit.

For our first Breakfast of the year, we'll hear from three family business leaders at different points in their ownership journeys:

Together, they'll explore what it means to approach family business ownership with a stewardship mindset: recognizing that while one generation may own and lead the business today, its responsibility extends well beyond itself. How do we care for what previous generations built, make the right decisions for today, and leave something stronger for those who will one day take our place. The conversation will explore:

• How do owners decide what should be carried forward and what needs to change
