NextGen Gathering "Around the Table"

Some of the best family-business conversations happen around a meal and a table. So that’s what we’re doing.

Join fellow next generation members for a relaxed happy hour featuring informal networking, guided conversations, and incredible food and drinks from fellow Center member Brunson’s Pub.

Rather than featuring a speaker or panel, this year’s program will focus on a series of small-group conversations about the common, and sometimes challenging, questions and experiences that face the next generation of a family business. You’ll learn from people in similar situations, gain new perspectives, and build relationships with those who “get it.”

Groups will rotate throughout the evening, allowing you to meet and have meaningful conversations with a variety of people.

Who should attend? And what do we mean by “NextGen”?

For this Gathering, being a NextGen is less about your age and more about where you are in your family business’s journey. It generally includes members of a generation that has not yet assumed primary leadership, as well as younger family members who have recently stepped into leadership and are continuing to navigate many of the same questions and challenges. This event is for you if you:

• Work in your family business
• Contribute to the business or family in another way
• Are considering joining the business in the future
• Are still figuring out what role the family business may have in your life

It’s a members only event, but with your registration, you may invite a next gen member from another family business at no additional cost. Their family business does not need to be a Center member.

Come ready to meet new people, share as much or as little as you would like, and leave knowing more people who understand the family-business experience.
