Build Your Creative Confidence

Freshman Innovation Immersion

Fire Up Your Innovation Engines

Move in early. Meet other first-year students. Collaborate to create something new.

The world needs entrepreneurial thinkers today more than ever. It's these entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives who will lead the charge finding solutions to current and future problems and create positive impact through innovation.

Move in early to join us at the Freshman Innovation Immersion! In this fun, fast-paced, interactive event, you will learn methods of human centered design in order to become a better creative thinker and collaborator. These are valuable skills that apply to any field of study and are a fun way to get to know your new classmates. You will work in a small group with like-minded first-year students to solve a challenge and pitch your solution, with a chance to win a cash prize of up to $500! Current students, alumni and mentors from the business community will guide groups through the challenge.

This event is open exclusively to incoming first-year students of all majors. It is free to attend but registrations are limited. All meals during the event will provided as well as three additional meal vouchers to use at The View for meals not covered by the program. Each participating student will also receive a #Tommiepreneur swag bag.
