Unlocking the Potential in Others

As a mentor and servant leader, Christine (CJ) Thompson finds no greater joy than helping others soar to new heights in their careers. She's a firm believer that each of us embodies the potential to influence significant positive change.

CJ mentors emerging women leaders in the health care and business community, helping them recognize and ignite their professional potential. She's helped women navigate transitional periods, shift industries and advance their careers. Most of her mentor relationships are long-term and purposeful, taking place over many years.

CJ has spent the tenure of her career specializing in product development and product launch. After spending a decade in clinical assessment and the publishing industry, she made a career move to health care at the end of her MBA journey.

At Prime Therapeutics, CJ is part of a clinical program development team that guides proper, safe and clinically appropriate medication use. She partners closely with pharmacists to pilot and evaluate clinical programs that help guide people through their medication journey. Her MBA has given her the acumen to be an effective, collaborative partner and lend her "business voice" for meaningful value.

I'm thrilled to have reached a point in my career where I'm able to mentor others on their professional journeys.

Opus College proved to be a perfect fit with a focus on ethics and integrity. The ever-present integrity lens within the MBA program continues to drive CJ's decision-making process today. A course in Executive Perspectives profoundly impacted how she integrates her career with her personal life. Inspired by the learnings, she co-created a leadership group with fellow alumna Jenn Tracy, '16 MBA. The group – seven of the eight are Opus alumni – meet every month to support each other's development journeys.

Evoking her servant leadership philosophy, CJ also makes an impact in the community. She serves on several education-focused councils in her public school district to provide feedback on new initiatives, curriculum updates, and instructional resource recommendations.

The term "Common Good" also has close ties to equity and diversity. As an active member of a grassroots anti-racism group, she's working hard to upend existing structures that contribute to the systemic racism in her city and educational system. She was also recently selected to serve on the Diversity and Inclusion Council at Prime Therapeutics.

As a mentor, advocate, and champion, CJ is passionate about helping others recognize and ignite their professional potential. In short, believing in people and all that's within them.
