Flexible and Convenient

Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics Academic Experience

Take Classes on Campus, Online or Both

To accommodate busy working professionals, the Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics is a flexible, four-course certificate program that you can complete in as few as two semesters. You can complete the program entirely online, entirely on-campus in evening classes, or a mix of the two.

Our curriculum is quantitative and analytical, and developed with industry experts to ensure that you’re gaining valuable skills to use with current technology. Some courses use real data sets from companies for project-based work, to give you the real-world experiences you need to excel in this fast-growing, competitive field.

Applied Learning

St. Thomas uses an applied learning approach—we teach with hands-on, real-world experiences. Analyze actual data from local companies—maybe even your current workplace—and leverage this data to solve practical problems. Use industry-standard software and tools, and develop proficiency with common analytics software, database management tools, and other applications that businesses use daily.

One Program, Two Campuses

Because the MS in Business Analytics program is delivered by the Opus College of Business in partnership with the St. Thomas School of Engineering Graduate Programs in Software, you’ll get to experience both of St. Thomas' distinctive campuses during your graduate certificate. Attend graduate business courses on our Minneapolis campus in the heart of the downtown business district. Take courses from the school of engineering on our scenic 80-acre St. Paul campus. Convenient parking, food services, and study areas are available.

How Often Will You Attend Class?

During the fall and spring semesters, traditional courses usually meet one weeknight per week (M – Th) from roughly 6 to 9 p.m. Summer courses typically meet on weeknights from late May to August, from 5:30 to 9:45 p.m. J-term classes usually meet once a week (M – Th), and all-day Saturday throughout January.
