Yulia Vorotyntseva

Assistant Professor

Yulia Vorotyntseva, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at the department of Operations and Supply Chain Management. She received her B.S. in Marketing from Voronezh State University, M.S. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the National Research University Higher School of Economics, followed by M.S. in Supply Chain Management and Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. She received her postdoctoral training at the Data Science Institute at Temple University Fox School of Business.

At the University of St. Thomas, Dr. Vorotyntseva teaches courses in Applied Statistics and Operations and Supply Chain Management. Prior to joining the University of St. Thomas in 2024, she served as an Interim Director of the SLU Center for Supply Chain Excellence at Saint Louis University.

In her research, Dr. Vorotyntseva uses controlled laboratory experiments to investigate human decision-making in the contexts of assortment planning and the impact of online reviews on consumer behavior. She has been actively involved in multiple professional organizations, including Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), Transportation Research Forum (TRF), and she is recognized as a senior member of INFORMS.
