The diverse professional experiences of our instructors allow you to explore specific industry interests. You’ll learn from professors who will not only provide you with a strong theoretical foundation but also bring practical knowledge through current case studies and project-based work. Our curriculum is relevant and current, and developed with industry experts to ensure you’re gaining valuable skills to use with emerging technology.

You can complete this program fully online or with a combination of in person and hybrid courses. The pace is flexible and can be completed in nine months or longer, if needed. Designed for working professionals, the certificate classes meet one night a week.

Applied Learning

St. Thomas uses an applied learning approach—we teach with hands-on, real-world experiences using industry-standard applications and software tools. Leverage the information you learn in class to solve practical problems using industry-leading tools and methods.

Traditional vs. Hybrid Courses

Choose from traditional on-campus classes, or courses that take place both in person and online. Hybrid courses can offer greater scheduling flexibility, feature the latest online instructional technologies to complement less frequent classroom sessions on campus. If you take a hybrid course, during the weeks between on-campus meetings, you’ll stay engaged thorough web-based presentations and interactions with peers and faculty.

How Often Will You Attend Class?

During the Fall and Spring semesters, traditional courses usually meet one weeknight per week (M – Th) from roughly 6 to 9 pm. Summer courses typically meet on weeknights from late May to August, from 5:30 to 9:45 pm. J-term classes usually meet once a week (M-Th), and all-day Saturday throughout January.
