GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN STRATEGIC RISK & RESPONSIBILITY ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

Add Risk Management Expertise to Your MBA

Designed in partnership with industry experts for MBA graduates or current St. Thomas MBA students, this certificate program prepares you to strengthen risk and compliance processes to build resilient and sustainable organizations.

Flexible and convenient for working professionals, our integrated curriculum builds your systems thinking, policy design, and leadership skills. Attend evening on-campus classes to complete the 12-credit program at your own pace—in as little as two semesters or longer, if needed. Customize your certificate with elective courses. Earn your graduate certificate on its own if you have completed an MBA, or complete your certificate with elective credits as you earn a St. Thomas MBA.

Applied Learning

Experience hands-on learning and gain real-world experiences at St. Thomas through our applied learning approach. By working with industry experts to develop our programs, we provide you with actual challenges from local companies. You can leverage the information you learn in class to solve practical problems using industry-standard tools and methods. Plus, our professional effectiveness courses prepare you to communicate with various stakeholders and partners in the workplace.

Traditional vs. Hybrid Courses

Choose from traditional on-campus classes, or courses that take place both in person and online. Hybrid courses can offer greater scheduling flexibility, feature the latest online instructional technologies to complement less frequent classroom sessions on campus. If you take a hybrid course, during the weeks between on-campus meetings, you’ll stay engaged thorough web-based presentations and interactions with peers and faculty.

How Often Will You Attend Class?

During the Fall and Spring semesters, traditional courses usually meet one weeknight per week (M – Th) from roughly 6 to 9 pm. Summer courses typically meet on weeknights from late May to August, from 5:30 to 9:45 pm. J-term classes usually meet once a week (M-Th), and all day Saturday throughout January.
