(BETH 625) - 1.5 credits
Learn the fundamentals of ethical decision-making in business. Explore the psychology of ethical decision-making, including individual and situational factors influencing the decision process.
(OPMT 600) – 3 credits
Understand the role of statistics in gathering data and their use in decision-making. Learn different methods for summarizing data and for drawing conclusions from sample data. Carry out statistical analyses using software.
(MGMT 625) - 1.5 credits
Learn about the principled leadership and governance of firms. This course focuses on the formulation of business-level strategy to help you gain a practical understanding of how the functions (finance, marketing, accounting, operations, human resources, etc.) align with strategy to support the mission and goals of a company.
(ENTR 625) - 1.5 credits
Learn what it takes to identify and evaluate new opportunities and to transform innovations into profitable businesses. Begin to develop key skills and knowledge necessary for applying the entrepreneurial process within the corporate context.
(ACCT 601) - 3 credits
Learn the fundamental terminology and calculations of financial accounting and reporting and comprehension and interpretation of financial statements. Explore the ethical aspects of accounting.
(MGMT 603) - 3 credits
Explore principled leadership. Gain a framework and skillset for making a meaningful impact within dynamic and complex organizations.
(BLAW 625) - 1.5 credits
Discover how the law impacts daily management decisions and business strategies. Learn to use principles of law to minimize risk, create value, attain core business objectives and resolve legal issues. The course uses exercises, simulations and business cases for hands-on skill development and practical application of key legal concepts.
(OPMT 625) - 1.5 credits
An introduction to the management of business operations. Explore the strategic role of operations in the survival and success of manufacturing and service organizations. Prerequisite: OPMT 600.
(FINC 600) - 3 credits
Explore the financial management of business. This course covers risk, return, evaluation, cost of capital, capital budgeting, long-term financing, capital structure theory, financial analysis and planning, working capital management and international factors. Prerequisite: OPMT600, ACCT601, GBEC600 or GBEC625.
(GBEC 625) - 1.5 credits
Learn about the application of microeconomic tools and concepts to business decision-making. Topics include optimal output volume; demand analysis and estimation, production and cost, market structure and strategic positioning and optimal pricing strategies. Prerequisite: OPMT 600.
(MKTG 625) - 1.5 credits
Learn about strategy formulation and the marketing mix (product, price, place, and promotion) tied to a thorough assessment of the marketplace. Develop essential skills to apply marketing research, perform quantitative and qualitative analysis and make both strategic and tactical marketing decisions.
