Brian Reagan is a clinical faculty member in the Department of Finance at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business. Prior to his appointment, he was the director of the Center for Business Excellence and the assistant dean of the Opus College of Business. He came to St. Thomas after a long career as a business executive.
Previously, Reagan was executive vice president of BioScrip Inc., a publicly traded, market leading health care services organization with more than $1.5 billion in annual revenue. Before that, Reagan was managing director and head of health care investment banking at Dain Bosworth Inc., a full-service investment banking and brokerage firm. In that capacity he led the company’s involvement in more than $1 billion in equity and debt capital as well as merger and acquisition transactions throughout the United States and Europe. He has also served as president of the Jacob Schmidt Realty Company, a private firm engaged in real estate management, and has provided consulting services through his firm, Orchard Hill Partners.
Reagan received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University, graduating summa cum laude in 1983, and earned his MBA as an Edward Tuck scholar from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1987.
Reagan has served on a number of boards, including as board chairman of the Technology Transfer Council for Health and Life Science at the University of Minnesota, and on the Executive Committee of the Board of the Hill Museum and Manuscript Library at St. John’s University. He is also a University of Minnesota Pediatrics Foundation Imagine Award recipient—an award presented annually for outstanding service in advancing the improvement of children’s health.
