From Mini MBA to Graduate School

Janet Zastrow came to St. Thomas thinking she’d complete the Mini MBA Program in Executive Education and move on in her career. Her experience was so positive that she decided to enroll in a graduate program.

“Taking the Mini MBA Program was a great experience for me,” said the UnitedHealth Group director. “I found every single session somehow applicable to my everyday work life.”

The Mini MBA program at St. Thomas is designed for the professional who wants to advance in their career or make themselves more valuable in their current organization. Students gain practical tools from experienced faculty, learn current applicable skills, and network with other professionals working in business.

Zastrow had takeaways from each of the Mini MBA's five sessions. From operations to ethics to finance, the program was jam-packed with useful information for her current job. She found the instructors to be engaging and appreciated their real-world, applicable examples. “St. Thomas made me feel comfortable and the campus environment was a great fit.”

Zastrow made great connections in her class and recommends the Mini MBA Program to anyone looking to get a well-rounded business perspective or considering a degree program. “Taking a “mini” program was a great way to get my feet wet and see if graduate school was the right move for me... which it was."
