Fluent in the Language of Finance

Whether she’s managing global operations, dissecting data, or improving access to health care, Meghann Minton is committed to helping and leading others. Passionate about advancing health equity, she’s working to change the face of health care.

Meghann’s first exposure to the disparities in health care set the direction for her career. She realized that to improve the quality of life of certain populations, we need a health care system that works better for all U.S. residents. Since then, she’s done the very thing she first set out to do – create more affordable health care options.

In leadership roles at UnitedHealth Care, she's helped implement efficiency initiatives that's reduced operational costs of over $4 million, helping make health care more affordable for everyone.

My true career joy comes from engaging with my team members and helping them understand where they can make the biggest impact.

While Meghann felt confident in her leadership skills and organizational planning, she turned to Opus College to develop financial and strategic planning acumen. The Health Care MBA program grew those skills while building a more robust knowledge of the health care system overall.

Learning to speak the language of finance has been the single biggest contributor to Meghann’s current career advancement. In understanding the fundamentals, she’s taken a seat at the leadership table, especially in discussions on financial growth.

In her corporate ascent at UnitedHealth Group, Meghann has always stayed focused on what she truly loves – helping and leading people. She’s proud to have built an organizationally sound operation in less than a year, making her team an employer of choice within the organization.

Fluent in the language of finance and relationships, Meghann is a real impact-maker, doing her part to make the health care system work better for everyone.
