Get Started on Your MS in Innovation

Each Fall, a new cohort of students begins the MS in Health Care Innovation program. If you are seeking to transform health care by influencing the future direction of the industry, this program is for you. Learn about the application process, application deadlines and tuition.

The admissions process for the MS in Health Care Innovation is very collaborative. To learn more about eligibility and discuss your application, please email Michael Leach, Assistant Director of Recruiting and Admissions or call Michael at (651) 962-8804.

Application Checklist

To complete your online application, you’ll need:

  • Your current resume
  • Answers to three essay questions. You’ll write your answers in the PDF and upload them to your application. Download PDF of essay questions

To apply to this program, you must have a bachelor's degree in any subject from a regionally accredited U.S. institution (or the international equivalent). We need original transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you have attended, sent directly from the school. The only exception is for advanced placement courses and study abroad transfer credits - we don't need transcripts for those.

Send via email: If your institution offers electronic transcripts, ask them to email your transcript(s) to gradadmissions@stthomas.edu.

As part of your online application, you will provide the name and email address of two individuals who can provide a recommendation. Recommenders can be employers, co-workers or anyone who can speak to your professional abilities and fit for an MS program. 
Your recommenders can either fill out our Recommendation Form or write you a letter that covers this information:

  • Their relationship to you and how long they’ve known you
  • Their impression of your ability to succeed in a graduate business program
  • Your outstanding characteristics and areas where you need to grow or develop
  • Your present impact on your organization or business
  • How graduate study would influence your professional growth

Once you submit your completed online application, the admissions committee will review it. If you meet the program requirements and demonstrate strong credentials, the admissions team will contact you to schedule an interview.

With our rolling admissions process, applications are welcomed earlier than the deadline and are reviewed once the file is complete.

$5,000 Guaranteed Scholarship

Students who submit their application by June 30th and are admitted to the MS in Health Care Innovation program will receive an automatic $5,000 scholarship towards the cost of the program.

Veterans Resources

If you’re a military veteran, we’ll waive your application fee. You can also defer your acceptance and any scholarships for one year, if your plans are delayed by your service. In addition, we provide unlimited Yellow Ribbon awards.

Financial aid is any resource that assists you in paying your tuition and fees. If you’re seeking aid, here are some great places to start:

  • Ask your employer about tuition reimbursement benefit policies
